The Muslim Brotherhood Secretary General has denied that the group has militias, calling for an investigation into the violent incidents that took place outside the group\'s main office in Al-Moqattam. \"If the Brotherhood had militiamen and if its members adopt violence, they would not have remained silent about attacking their premises on Friday\" Mahmoud Hussein said during a press conference on Saturday. \"It is time for the police to punish the corrupt people and rioters,\" Hussein added. He asserted that the group believes in peaceful protests and will pursue all those who called for and participated in the protests. \"Matters will not go unpunished,\" he stressed.
