The Cabinet

The Cabinet under Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on Wednesday approved a bill to amend some provisions of the diplomatic and consular corps’ law which regulates administrative and financial affairs of diplomats and consuls working at the Foreign Ministry or the state’s missions abroad.

During the meeting, Ismail asserted that the government is keen to continue cooperation and coordination with parliament members to achieve the state’s interests and citizens’ needs, as well as overcoming challenges.

Also, the Cabinet okayed a draft law to establish a syndicate for farmers and submit it to the State Council.

The proposed bill is expected to contribute to satisfying farmers’ needs and improving their social, economic and health conditions, in addition to increasing awareness of rising agriculture production and preserving agricultural lands.

Furthermore, it endorsed a bill to regulate medical research and refer it to the State Council. The draft law aims at developing necessary principles and standards for conducting clinical studies and protecting those who undergo research studies.

Moreover, the Cabinet approved a presidential decree to allocate a plot of land in Luxor governorate for building some projects related to agriculture and livestock investment.
