Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on Monday called on the cabinet to observe a minute of silence over the victims of Tanta and Alexandria churches which have been hit by two terror attacks during Palm Sunday celebrations.
The cabinet, in its weekly meeting, renewed its condemnation of the tragic attacks which claimed the lives of innocent civilians in places of worship.
It termed the attacks as breaches of all human norms and values and a violation of all heavenly teachings.
The cabinet offered condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The cabinet also asserted that the Egyptian state will garner up all its potentials and capabilities to continue its fight against black terrorism which aims at tearing apart the morale of the Egyptian people and their unity.
It also underlined the Egyptians' resolve to clear the State from all terrorist hideouts and eliminate the extremist thoughts in order to continue the steady steps that have been taken in the march towards achieving development and construction.
The cabinet also sounded the alarm over the ability of terrorists to cross borders, a matter which necessitated taking a unified stance by the international community to chase out such elements and dry up the roots of financing terrorism.
The heinous attacks on the two churches in Egypt have shown the ugly face of terrorism which has no religion or homeland.
