Care-taker Minister of Interior, Marwan Charbel, criticized the EU\'s decision to put Hezbollah\'s military wing on its terrorist list, saying in a radio interview Sunday that Hezbollah is a Lebanese political party that is officially recognized and has ministers and deputies working under its name, and above all it is a resistance, hence no one is allowed to speak of it having a military wing. He feared that the \"stability of Lebanon\" may be compromised or affected by the EU\'s recent decision. \"European countries have always supported stability of Lebanon, so what changed things?\" Charbel deemed the timing \"inappropriate\" for such an accusation, because the delicate security situation needs \"intensive care.\" On that note, he reassured UNIFIL troops that the EU\'s decision will have no repercussions on their safety, as they and the Lebanese army remain the sole guarantee of south Lebanon.
