Director-General of Civil Defence has announced that the teams today extinguished a fire in a two-storey building in Manama Suq that spread to nearby shops.

The firefighting teams consisted of 13 vehicles and 49 personnel. He said that no casualties have been reported, while the investigation continues to determine the reason behind the fire.

The Public Prosecution has been notified, he said.
