Civil Defence participates in NFPA’s consultative meeting in Kuwait

The National Fire Protection Association, NFPA, Middle East Consultative Committee held its meeting in Kuwait, presided over by Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Director-General of Firefighting, Protection and Safety Affairs at the General Command of Civil Defence, and head of the UAE delegation.

The meeting saw discussions on a range of important issues, including updating the membership of the consultative committee, the presidency of the NFPA, and the recommendations that were carried out from the March meeting held in Abu Dhabi.

The participants reviewed methods for updating training related to the nation's ecological system and presented areas of human resources training, as agreed among member countries, as well as the adoption of the prevention and safety inspectors' report by the NFPA.

Brigadier Al Nuaimi said that the meeting is aimed at promoting communication between the civil defence command in the UAE and its counterparts in the member countries in the NFPA’s consultative committee, to exchange experience and enhance cooperation in training, scientific research, protection and fire-control areas.
