Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has issued a resolution, establishing a national council for combating terrorism and extremism.
According to the resolution, published in the official gazette, the Council will be headed by the President, with the Parliamentary Speaker, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and the Prime Minister as members.
Other members include Ministers of Defence, Endowments, Youth, Foreign Affairs, Interior, Communications, Justice, Education and Higher Education, as well as Chief of the General Intelligence and Head of the Administrative Control Authority
