Several villages in southern Saudi Arabia were evacuated on Wednesday after a dam partially collapsed due to heavy rains, Al Arabia Channel reported. Saudi government evacuated several villages in Tabalah in the south as precaution, Saudi Civil Defence confirmed. Heavy rains since Thursday had left 16 people dead, including a five-year-old boy, the report said. The civil defence and other government departments have been on full alert since Thursday, advising the public to follow instructions and stay indoors if possible.
