Deputy Prime Minister HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa led Bahrain’s delegation to the opening of the 38th GCC Summit hosted by Kuwait under the chairmanship of HH the Amir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jabir Al Sabah.
The Amir of Kuwait, addressing the opening session, welcomed the delegations’ participation that reflects their keenness on continuing the blessed GCC march, attaching great significance to holding the event amid the regional challenges.
The Kuwaiti Amir extended sincere thanks to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for chairing the 37th session, welcoming his efforts to upgrade the joint GCC action.
He also lauded the Saudi efforts to maintain security and stability in a number of countries of the region, among of them Yemen and Syria.
HH the Amir stressed that the Iranian actions in the region are in violation of the international laws.
He also tackled a number of regional and global developments and topics of interest to the GCC countries.
GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, in his speech, expressed gratitude to the Amir of Kuwait for chairing the current session.
He congratulated HM the King on the achievements made during his chairmanship of the 37th session, affirming holding the current session indicates the Gulf leaders’ resolve to further promote the blessed Gulf entity, wishing the participants success.
