Developmental projects worth nearly AED200 million have been approved by the Follow-up Committee of the Initiatives of the UAE President.
The approval comes in implementation of the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the orders of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the follow-up of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
Under the chairmanship of Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs, the committee endorsed the execution of an AED180-million project linking Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital with the Federal Road Network in order to streamline access to the hospital's services.
Other projects addressing the needs of the people of determination by the Ministry of Community Development have also been endorsed at a total cost of AED10.6 million. These include maintenance works and additions to special needs rehabilitation centres in Ras al-Khaimah, Al Fujairah and Dibba Al Fujairah.
The committee also sanctioned an AED1.5-million project to renovate Wadi Shaam in Ras al-Khaimah.
The projects fit within the government's efforts to develop the country's infrastructure and ensure a safe environment for the people of determination.
