The Dubai Health Authority, DHA, and Thumbay Group are joining hands to launch the Annual Health Awards 2018, which will acknowledge exceptional contributions in the healthcare field.

Humaid Al Qutami, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director-General of DHA, and Thumbay Moideen, President of Thumbay Group, have signed a MoU to launch the award on Sunday.

Al Qutami said that the award reflects the positive competitiveness of the Emirate of Dubai in various fields, including health, which has become a platform for innovation and creativity. It also aims to provide an incentive for health institutions in Dubai and those working in it to elevate the level of their performance and deliver quality services to develop the health field in Dubai to achieve customer satisfaction.

Al Qutami invited those targeted by the award to take part in it, adding that the award is an important indicator to determine the quality of medical services provided.

Moideen commended the efforts of the authority and emphasised the important role the DHA plays in encouraging investment in the health field, and international health institutions to take advantage of Dubai's facilities.
