Egypt steps up security at squares in Downtown Cairo

Egypt stepped up security at Tahrir, Talaat Harab and Abdel Moneim Riad squares in Downtown Cairo after calls by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group to stage protests on Friday.

MENA reporter said that two armored vehicles and an ambulance were deployed at Abdel Moneim Riad square.

Three police vans and a personnel carrier were also dispatched to El Qasr El Aini street near Tahrir Square.

Three armored vehicles and two personnel carriers were also deployed near the headquarters of the Arab League.
