Emirates Red Crescent responds to personal appeal of Yemeni nurse

In yet a new human gesture added to the track record of the UAE top humanitarian provider, the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has positively responded to a personal appeal sent by a Yemeni female nurse in Aden via social media platforms where she complained about failing to get her salary for more than 10 consecutive months.

After verifying the miserable conditions of the women who is working at Basheeb Hospital in Aden, the ERC team provided the woman with immediate assistance to help her make her both ends meet and provide her family with their basic needs, including food supplies, a frigid, washing machine, oven, AC, and TV set.

"The ERC is acting as per the will of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to his sons to feed people, birds, and trees and ensure aid go to all the needy bar none," said the head of the ERC team in Aden.

The nurse, Ne'ma, expressed deep gratitude to the leadership and people of the UAE for their kind gesture which coincides with the Year of Giving initiative launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Since the liberation of Aden from the coupe d'état perpetrators, the ERC has developed an urgent plan to send immediate assistance to all needy segments of Aden society, specially in the under-privileged areas that are inaccessible to both international and local organisations.
