The Emirates Red Crescent Authority, ERC, today signed an agreement to rebuild and maintain the community health centre building in the Al-Dais Al-Sharqiyah (Eastern Dais) District of the Yemeni city of Al Mukalla, with its full financial support.
The agreement is part of the UAE’s ongoing support, under the directives of the wise leadership, to improve the level of healthcare services and support infrastructure projects in the liberated Yemeni governorates.
Mohammed Saif Al Muhairi, Head of the ERC team, explained that this agreement is part of their ongoing healthcare and humanitarian support, to improve the performance of hospitals and health centres in the Governorate of Hadramaut.
He added that the rebuilding and maintenance of the Al Dais Health Centre is part of their efforts to minimise the effects of the political and economic crisis in Yemen, and to organise the giving campaigns promoted by the UAE’s leadership, which are managed by the ERC in many Arab and Islamic countries and other regions around the world.
Fahmi Qassem Al Kasadi, Director of the Health Office in the Al-Dais Al-Sharqiyah District, expressed his appreciation to the UAE and its humanitarian arm, the ERC, for their generous giving and continuous support to reconstruct, rehabilitate and develop government and social institutions in Hadramaut and other liberated governorates, to improve the lives of the Yemeni people, especially with regards to the healthcare sector, which affects a large segment of the local community in the governorate and its districts.
Abdullah Al Tamimi, Director-General of Al-Dais Al-Sharqiyah District, stressed the importance of maintaining and rebuilding the health centre in the district, which will decrease the suffering of local people and answer their healthcare needs, after the destruction of the local infrastructure. He also praised the UAE’s humanitarian support, which strengthened the perseverance of the district’s people, to face the difficult conditions in the region.
