Parliament Affairs Minister Ghanim bin Fadhul Al-Buainain today received Member of Parliament (MP) Dr. Majeed Mohsen Al-Asfoor the member of the Parliamentary Committee on Financial and Economic Affairs and Human Rights Committee.
They reviewed the Executive-Legislature branches' fruitful cooperation during the Third Session of the Fourth Legislative Term, citing the effective role of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee culminating in the approval of the State’s General Budget 2017-2018, and amendment of some provisions of Law Decree 15/1977 for Issuance of Development Bonds.
They also reviewed various topics to be discussed in the upcoming session and explored the ideal means of accomplishing them as befits the current economic conditions and serve the interest of the nation and citizens.
Dr. Shaikh Al-Asfoor praised the government’s cooperation that enabled the Legislative Branch to easily accomplish its business throughout the previous session, citing the minister’s role in such cooperation and communicating the viewpoints of lawmakers to the government
