Foreign Ministry: 9 bodies of Egyptians killed in Libya identified

Nine bodies of at least 13 Egyptians killed in recent clashes with smugglers in the Libyan city of Bani Walid have been identified in the capital city of Tripoli, the Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

The identification came after the bodies were brought from Bani Walid to Tripoli, the ministry's spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said.

The Libyan forensic authorities are attempting to identify the four others, he said.

He added that the Foreign Ministry is following up the issue to facilitate measures to bring the bodies back home.
