Future bloc congratulated the Lebanese people, in general, and the army, in particular, on the great national accomplishment of the liberation of the outskirts of Ras Baalbek and al-Qaa from the Daesh terrorists.
The Bloc's fresh words on Tuesday came in the wake of its regular meeting at the Center House, chaired by bloc head Fouad Siniora, to dwell on the overall situation in the country.
Future bloc expressed full and profound solidarity with the families of the military servicemen who were abducted by the terrorist Daesh organization, saying "it [the bloc] awaits with the families the results of DNA testing to verify their sons' fate."
The Bloc offered its heartfelt condolences to the families of fallen martyrs, in the hope that their blood would be a catalyst to strengthen national unity amongst the Lebanese and the status of the Lebanese state and its prestige.
The Bloc brought to attention that the great national liberation accomplishment should reinforce commitment to the Lebanese legitimacy based on the Taef Accord and the Constitution, which underline the importance of national coexistence and the principle of citizenship.
The bloc also voiced adherence to the strong and fair Lebanese state, while strengthening its role and prestige, and its exclusive sovereignty over all Lebanese soil through its sole legitimate weapon.
"Only the State provides security and safety to all its citizens without discrimination," bloc said in a statement read out by MP Ammar Houry.
Future also voiced commitment to the Arab legitimacy in terms of identity and belonging, affirming respect for the sovereignty and independence of Arab brotherly states, and the non-interference in the internal affairs of these countries.
The bloc also said it upholds the international legitimacy, notably commitment to all international resolutions particularly resolution #1701 in all its clauses.
The bloc deemed these resolutions "an an international safety umbrella for Lebanon."
Future considered that these three integrated constants fall in the interest of Lebanon and all the Lebanese people, branding them "a genuine national treasure that must be preserved
