Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, yesterday met with the European Parliament's Delegation for Relations with the Arabian Peninsula, headed by Michele Alliot-Marie, during their visit to Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed bilateral relations and discussed ways of enhancing cooperation and coordination. They also discussed means of combating terrorism and extremism.

The meeting also covered areas of joint coordination between the two sides on some regional and international issues of common concern in addition to the political, security and humanitarian developments in the region.
