Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said at the dinner hosted by the Maronite League in Australia in his honor that Lebanon was strong despite the ongoing events in the region.

Geagea called on the Lebanese to exercise their right to vote in order to achieve the required change. "We do not need revolution, chaos or foreign intervention to change the situation in our country. We need determination so that people go to the polling stations and elect the right candidates," he said.

He then urged expatriates to register their names at embassies or consulates, or to go to Lebanon to vote in the next parliamentary elections.

Tackling the refugee file, the LF leader indicated that the decision to return the Syrian refugees to their country was "sovereign and purely Lebanese", calling on Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil to make contacts with Russia and the United States to submit the request of the Lebanese government on this matter.

As for the Reconciliation of the Mountain, Geagea concluded that the "Lebanese Forces" was committed to this reconciliation and that it will make every possible effort to preserve it
