Attorney General of the Higher State Security Khaled Diaa el Din decided to hold the general secretary of Suez governorate and two other defendants in custody for four days pending investigations over bribe-taking charges.
The defendants were arrested by Administrative Control Authority (ACA) while a bribe from a contractor to unlawfully award land title.
Investigations revealed that the secretary general of the Suez governorate received a bribe from one of the contractors in return for unlawfully leaking information about the estimated tender value of a piece of land.
