Dr. Hanif Hassan Al Qasim, Chairman of the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue, has affirmed that the UAE presents a model to follow in co-existence, pluralism and tolerance.
During his meeting in Singapore with the officials of the Singapore Religious Harmony Foundation, he highlighted the fact that the UAE has become an oasis and an ideal environment for human co-existence and pluralism due to its policies based on the foundations set by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Dr. Al Qasim was also briefed about the activities of the Foundation during the meeting.
He stressed the efforts of the Geneva centre in combatting hatred, pointing out that it has organised many international conferences and specialised seminars, and published several research studies and papers that contribute to enhancing understanding between the followers of different religions and promoting the values of human co-existence.
