Sir Peter Cosgrove, Governor-General of Australia, and his delegation today visited the production facility of Strata Manufacturing in Al Ain.

The wholly owned by Mubadala Investment Company PJSC (Mubadala) is a composite aero-structures manufacturing facility based in the heart of Nibras Al Ain Aerospace, Al Ain.

During his visit, he viewed the company’s various areas of work in manufacturing aero-structure components.

Ismail Ali Abdulla, CEO of Strata, and several officials received Cosgrove and his delegation.

Cosgrove toured the area of the production facility that prepares composite substances, which are similar to honeycombs, as well as its autoclave oven area.

He also viewed its secure inspection area where all aero-structures components undergo various inspections, to guarantee the highest standards of quality, as well as its assembly area that houses the company’s complete production lines, where aero-structure technicians use various tools and equipment to assemble and prepare parts, to be shipped to major international companies, such as Boeing and Airbus.

Cosgrove, then, met many of the male and female UAE nationals working for the company in various specialities while learning about their roles and duties in manufacturing aero-structures components and ensuring that they meet the required quality, security and safety standards.
