Governor of Australia visits Qasr Al Muwaiji in Al Ain

Sir Peter Cosgrove, Governor-General of Australia, and his delegation, visited Qasr Al Muwaiji (Al Muwaiji Palace) in Al Ain city today, which is a significant national and historic edifice.

Cosgrove was received by Jaber Al Marri, Director of Technical Support Unit at Tourism and Culture Department. Al Marri apprised him of the historical, social and political importance of the palace and highlighted the life of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, as well as the advancements facilitated by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Cosgrove and his delegation, who are on an official visit to the UAE, toured the palace, the museum and the exhibition, where they learned about the important historical events that occurred during the course of the advancements made by the UAE.

The museum and the exhibition shed light on the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, other important stages in the history of the UAE, and its march towards the union and development. The exhibition also narrated the first years in the life of UAE President and his important achievements.
