Prime Minister, Saad Hariri, stressed the paramount importance of dialogue, as the sole means to resolving standing issues, regardless of political differences.

Premier Hariri's words on Wednesday came during a ceremony held at the Movenpick Hotel in Beirut, marking the fourth commemoration of Minister Mohammed Shatah.

Hariri eulogized the assassinated Minister as the "Emir of moderation", saying he was martyred for the sake of moderation and in defense of the state's role.

He extolled Shatah as being "the genuine comrade in the most difficult times," saying he recently missed his presence by his side during the most simmering political crisis he passed through.

He said Shatah was martyred for the same principles which his father, the late Rafic Hariri, got martyred for, notably moderation and the building of the state.

He praised Shatah's remarkable wisdom, intellect and sharpness, saying "he was a political and intellectual asset in protection of the nation."

"He was the symbol of dialogue," Hariri said, stressing that the country can only survive through upholding dialogue in resolving standing problems.

Hariri vowed in his delivered word that the late Shatah shall constantly remain in the hearts of the Lebanese, offering condolences once again to his family members
