Prime Minister Saad Hariri on Monday contacted Imad Khatib, congratulating him on his release with his companions Nader Hamadeh and Georges Batrouni, from the grip of their Iraqi abductors.
The three Lebanese were kidnapped in Iraq a week ago and were released following a joint operation by the ISF Intelligence Branch, the General Security and the Iraqi Intelligence.
Hariri thanked all those who contributed to the liberation of the three Lebanese, including the Iraqi government and the head of the Iraqi Intelligence Service, appreciating their serious coordination with Lebanon.
He also thanked the Director General of the ISF, General Imad Othman, the Director of the General Security, General Abbas Ibrahim and the Head of the ISF Intelligence Branch, Colonel Khaled Hammoud for their efforts in this context and their success in freeing the three hostages
