Public Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani on Thursday said that building a strong state is primarily based on the implementation of the public accountability law.

Minister Hasbani's fresh words on Thursday came during the eight annual conference organized by the Arab Gulf Chapter affiliated to the Lebanese Forces, in Meerab, attended by scores of party dignitaries and figures.

Minister Hasbani underscored that the proper implementation of the accountability law secures the concept of transparency in ministerial work and public affairs, indicating that the Tenders' Department is considered one of the main public monitoring apparatuses.

Hasbani pointed out that "with the advancement of the internet and social networking sites, it has become feasible for all ministries to publish their information and figures on their electronic websites, thus enabling citizens to monitor the work of various ministries and promoting the principle of transparency
