Finance Minister Ali Hasan Khalil said after the Wednesday parliamentary gathering at Ain Tineh residence that "if the officer promotion decree had been presented to the Finance Ministry, a constitutional problem would have been evaded."

Minister Khalil also pointed out that the Internal Security promotion decree had been presented to the Finance Ministry, stressing that the "Ministry's role is not solely confined to expenditure but also to the impact of spending."

On the recent statement by House Speaker that the "weak resorts to judiciary", Khalil elaborated the Speaker meant that "those who have weak argument only resort to the judiciary
