Hotel occupancy rates have risen in tandem with an expected visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping of the city, head of tourism in Luxor Zakaria Hussein said.

The Chinese president’s visit will be a strong message to the whole world that Egypt is a country of security and safety, the official told MENA.
