MP Ammar Houry confirmed on Monday that the endorsement of the interminably awaited state budget was much needed to ensure control.
"The discussion of some budget details take a little time, but it will be approved soon," he added.
Regarding the salary scale, Houry deemed it a right that civil servants ought to acquire naturally, and called for further scientific studies that would lead to the acquisition of this right without destabilizing public finances.
With regard to the electoral law, Houry said that the discussions had not been concluded yet.
"We oppose any formula that could affect the rights of citizens in the shadow of illegal weapons," he said.
The deputy pointed out that the Iranian threats to Israel were not new. As for Lebanon's relationship with Gulf countries, Houry expressed his fear of a possible return of tension due to Hezbollah's stances.
