Jameela Al Muhairi attends reception for Korean National Liberation Day in Dubai

Jameela bint Salem Al Muhairi, Minister of State for Public Education, has attended a ceremony hosted by the Consulate-General of South Korea, on the occasion of Korea's National Liberation Day.

The reception, held at the Roda Al Murooj Hotel in Dubai, was attended by Abdulrahman Ghanem Al Mutaiwee, Director of the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Dubai, as well as several key figures, Emirati and Korean business leaders, and members of the consular corps and the Korean community in Dubai.

In his statement, Namduk Heo, Consul-General of the Republic of South Korea, praised the current relations between the UAE and South Korea in various areas while highlighting the economic progress being witnessed by the two countries, especially in Dubai in terms of innovation. He also lauded the wise leadership of both countries.

Regarding the economic co-operation between the two countries, he added that their volume of mutual trade has reached US$15 billion per year while pointing out that the UAE is South Korea's second largest trade partner in the Middle East.

Namduk Heo also noted the joint investment partnerships between Emirati and Korean companies, especially in the field of industry, which have benefited both sides and served the UAE Vision 2021.

He added that he is looking forward to further enhancing the co-operation and joint understanding between the UAE and South Korea.
