Egyptian archaeologist Abdel Rahim Rihan said Monday Japanese archaeologists made major archaeological excavations in Egypt, especially in Sinai.
In statements to MENA, Rihan added that Japanese archaeologists were the first to work in Sinai after it was restored.
A team of Japanese archaeologists worked in Tur Sinai in 1985, just three years after restoring the Egyptian peninsula, Rihan said.
