Jordan and US discuss joint cooperation

King Abdullah II of Jordan on Sunday met with the US Senators Jim Inhofe and Michael Enzi, and their accompanying delegation to discuss the Jordanian - US strategic relationship and ways of expanding joint cooperation.

According to the Petra News Agency, during the meeting, King Abdullah thanked the US for its support to the Kingdom, especially in the military domains. The meeting touched on a number of Middle East issues, including efforts to solve peace issues.

They also discussed the Syrian refugee crisis and its repercussions on Jordan's economy and limited resources.

The congressmen commended Jordan's effort, led by King Abdullah, to spread peace and stability in the Middle East.
