Jordan congratulated on Tuesday the Iraqi government on the "important strategic victory" achieved against the terrorist organization of Daesh in Mosul, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported.
"Liberating Mosul is a victory for humanity over the forces of terrorism and evil", Jordan's State Minister for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani said.
The minister added that it is a model of will set by those who sacrifice their lives to defeat terrorism.
"The victory is a critical and decisive stage for the Iraqi, Arab and international efforts to ward off terrorism", said the minister.
Momani, also serving as the government spokesman, paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to thwart forces of evil.
"The scale of hatred, killing and destruction practiced by this terror gang reaffirms the importance of unifying global efforts to defeat it," Momani said.
