Kataeb Political bureau discussed on Tuesday the rapid and accurate developments on the local and regional arenas and their possible repercussions on the Lebanese internal scene.

"True national partnership does not succeed, and the state does not rise except when it alone enjoys its own free decision; otherwise, Lebanon will be deprived of sovereignty as Hezbollah confiscates the state's sovereign decisions," Kataeb Party assured earlier today during its weekly meeting chaired by the party's Vice-Chairman, Mr. Joseph Abu Khalil.

The Political Party called on all those concerned to deal with patriotism, wisdom and responsibility with the critical situations that the country was undergoing.

"It is necessary to delve deeper into the causes of Prime Minister Saad Hariri's resignation statement and to address them accordingly," the statement added.

Upon reviewing the Arab League's resolution, Kataeb Party reaffirmed its adherence to neutrality, its refusal of the interference of any Lebanese party in the affairs of others, and the interference of others in Lebanon's internal affairs.

The Political Party hailed the historic visit of Maronite Patriarch, Mar Bechara Boutros Al Rahi, to Saudi Arabia, and his meetings with the Saudi leadership.

"This visit reflected satisfaction and reassurance to the Lebanese, especially to the workers and residents in the kingdom," the statement read.

Kataeb Party congratulated the Lebanese on Independence Day, hoping that Lebanon will enjoy all the meanings of sovereignty, freedom and independence, and that no illegal weapon will remain on its territory.

"The 21st of November marks the eleventh anniversary of the martyrdom of Sheikh Pierre Gemayel, who was assassinated by treacherous terrorist hands aimed to strike the party's renaissance and role," Kataeb said.

Finally, the party stressed the continuation of the party's march following the footsteps of martyr Sheikh Pierre Gemayel defending Lebanon, its freedom, sovereignty and independence, as well as reforming state institutions
