The King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, in collaboration with This is Bahrain Society, tomorrow will hold an open meeting at the UN headquarters in New York to review the Kingdom of Bahrain's experience in promoting values of tolerance, friendship and peace.
Chairman of Board of Trustees, Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, said the meeting will be held to coincide with the launch of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, themed (Making the United Nations relevant to all people: global leadership and shared responsibilities for peaceful, equitable and sustainable societies).
Dr. Shaikh Khalid Al Khalifa added prominent diplomates, intellectuals and human rights and social activists would take part in the open meeting designed to highlight the most prominent aspects of the vision of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for promoting all forms of tolerance and coexistence among various religions and cultures, which has received broad regional and global praise. In addition, it would also shed light on Bahrain’s experience in promoting values of tolerance, peaceful coexistence and religion freedom, as well as bolstering concepts of pluralism, friendship, respect and human rapprochement.
The meeting would also come across the main goals of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence to embrace principles of friendship, respect and human rapprochement, and emphasizing Bahrain’s position as an international center for reinforcing the culture of peace, openness and coexistence among cultures.
A Photo gallery will be held on the sidelines of the meeting to display tolerance and peaceful coexistence activities of more than 20 religions, sects in Bahrain.
