Ying Yong, Mayor of the Chinese city of Shanghai, met Matar Al Siri Al Qamzi, UAE Consul-General to China, here on Wednesday.

The meeting was part of Yong’s annual dialogue session with the Consuls-General accredited in Shanghai on the city's economic and social status.

He thanked Al Qamzi for his contribution to enhancing ties between the UAE and China and referred to his visit to the UAE in October to attend WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017.

He added that Shanghai had submitted a bid to host WorldSkills 2021.
