MBRF inaugurates Knowledge Week

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, MBRF, inaugurated Knowledge Week today, an event that will run until November 23rd, featuring a long list of knowledge events, workshops and discussions on the agenda.

The newly introduced event seeks to promote knowledge as a foundation for community building ahead of the highly anticipated fourth Knowledge Summit on November 21st - 22nd, 2017, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Knowledge Week allows university students, as well as government and private-sector employees, to get involved in the activities of the 2017 summit, which bears the theme, "Knowledge and the Fourth Industrial Revolution".

Shamsa Al Bloushi, Vice Chairman of the Knowledge Summit Committee, said, "Organising the very first Knowledge Week allows us to facilitate the flow of knowledge and to play our part in empowering generations of innovative future leaders. The event aims to widen the audience and scope of the Knowledge Summit to include students and decision makers. The summit is a premier knowledge event and a platform for the knowledge industry to come together and exchange perspectives and ideas. It also sheds light on the sector’s progress, the challenges that lie ahead, and the ideal solutions to address them."

Knowledge Week’s agenda includes lectures, panel discussions, partnership agreements and debates on topics such as, Knowledge under the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Robotics, Digital Surgery, and Digital Revolution and the Media. The events are set to take place at MBRF headquarters, Mohammed bin Rashid School for Communication, Applied Secondary School, Zulekha Hospital Dubai, Etihad Museum and Al Bayan newspaper’s offices.
