Islamist militants on Monday simultaneously attacked two military checkpoints in Sheikh Zuweid city in Egypt\'s Sinai, security sources said. One attack targeted a checkpoint in the al-Kharroub neighborhood, leading to clashes with the army. Egyptian soldier Ibrahim Mumammad Salamah, 24, was injured in the leg, security officials told Ma\'an. Meanwhile, militants also attacked a checkpoint in Abu Tawila neighborhood. Army officer Husam Muhammad was shot in the leg before the attackers fled.
