Ministry of Finance organises interactive workshops on customers' needs

As part of its continuous efforts to enhance services to meet customers' needs, as well as achieve its strategic objectives and the m-Government indices, the Ministry of Finance, MoF, held a workshop on the issuance of tax certificates which included Value Added Tax, VAT, and Tax Domicile.

The ministry also held a live streaming session on its social media channels to respond to customers’ inquiries and suggestions in real-time, and receive their reviews on the ‘Renewal of the Registration of Suppliers’ service.

The workshop, which was open for customers and visitors, was held during GITEX Technology Week 2017, in the presence of heads of departments and senior employees at the ministry.

Mariam Mohammad Al Amiri, Assistant Under-Secretary for the Management of Financial Resource, said, "These workshops reflect the ministry’s efforts to raise awareness on smart and e-services, and achieve m-Government indices. They also represent an interactive platform, where customers have the opportunity to learn more about our services, share their reviews and suggestions for improvement."

"The ministry is committed to contributing to the National Programme for Happiness and Positivity implemented by Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in March 2016. The programme is a national charter for happiness which creates a happy and productive environment for federal government entities and empowers happiness and positivity. The programme also reflects the UAE’s commitment towards the community to have the UAE become a global centre for happiness."

The workshop on issuing tax certificates gave participants the opportunity to learn more about the ministry’s communication channels, receive a brief on VAT certificates and Tax Domicile certificate, including the benefits and service fees. A discussion was also held between heads of departments and customers to add value to the services provided.

The Ministry of Finance says that last year, it achieved a 94 percent overall customers satisfaction rate with regards to its services. The ministry also held awareness workshops on its most used and popular smart services, which attracted 92 percent of its customers.
