The Misr el Kheir Foundation will cover all expenses to ferry back home bodies of Egyptian expats, said Immigration Minister Nabila Makram Monday.
Many Egyptians have trouble bringing back home the bodies of their loved ones at state expense because they have to submit certificates to prove that families of the deceased are poor, Makram said.
She was speaking during the inking of a cooperation protocol between the ministries of immigration and health and the Misr el Kheir Foundation.
Cooperation with Misr el Kheir Foundation provides a good example of public and private sectors joining hands.
Dr Aly Gomaa, the chairman of the board of trustees of the foundation, said cooperation between the government and civil society and the media is key to securing real services to citizens.
