Mohammed bin Rashid receives credentials of foreign ambassadors in Abu Dhabi

Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, today received, at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi and in the presence of H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, the credentials of several foreign ambassadors to the UAE.

The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, as well as members of the UAE Cabinet and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

During the ceremony, Fahad Saeed Al Raqbani was sworn in as the UAE Ambassador to Canada.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid received the credentials of Jean Claud Adrian, Ambassador of the Republic of Seychelles; Treine Vinh Quang, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Elisabeth Cardoso Jordao, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg; Astra Cormier, Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia; Paul Kavanagh, Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland; Henrik Landerholm, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden; Mohammed Dansanta, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Sayyid Taher Sid Nasser, Ambassador of the Comoros Republic; Animisha Jayant Madvani, Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda and Sardar Mamit Jarajayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkmenistan.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid welcomed the new ambassadors to their second home, and assured them that they are among their families, while encouraging them to feel safe, stable and happy in a culturally, socially and religiously harmonious Emirati society, which does not differentiate or discriminate, and all its members live in a safe, loving and tolerant environment.

"I am confident that you and your families will receive attention, cooperation and care in your second home, and all our ministries, most notably the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, headed by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will assist you in any matter you would like to discuss, to build bridges of communication between our country and your countries, as well as open new channels for further cooperation between our people and the people of your countries, especially in the areas of trade, culture, and tourism among others, ensuring common and mutual benefits for our people," he added.

In their address to Sheikh Mohammed, the ambassadors expressed their happiness at representing their countries in the UAE, which has a prominent international reputation, and its community, leadership and government are known for their cooperation, respect for others and for creating balanced and constructive relations with other countries.

They also praised the civility, security and stability that prevails in Emirati society.
