Investment Minister Sahar Nasr met Wednesday with Minister of Antiquities Khaled el Anani and Qalyoubiya governor Mahmoud Ashmawi to discuss a project to upgrade the "Qanater Khayria" area and investment opportunities in the city. 

The meeting took up ways to benefit from archaeological sites in Qalyoubiya to establish tourist projects, a statement by the Investment Ministry said. 

Ashmawi reviewed a plan to establish a river transportation network and a yacht marina in the city.

They also discussed a project to renovate and maintain old bridges and buildings in Qanater Khayria.
