The current circumstances surrounding Lebanon and the region, and the many threats, require preserving the reconciliation of the Mountain," said MP Nehme Tohme in a statement on Friday.

"Apart from the differences and political divisions between this and that party, national interests require the reconciliation to remain aloof from this atmosphere," he said.

"The Reconciliation of the Mountain is higher in importance than the number of seats of deputies and ministers, and any other gains," Tohme stressed
