Transport Minister Saad el Geyoushy appointed on Thursday engineer Medhat Shousha as the chairman of the Egyptian National Railways.

Shousha replaced Ahmed Hamed whose performance was lauded by the minister.

"He run the railways in a difficult time," he said.
