No serious road accidents were reported during the rainy conditions prevailing in the country on Friday, the Abu Dhabi Police said.

"Nearly 4,000 calls were received by central operations rooms in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Western Region," the police said in a statement.

Motorists are advised to remain extra cautious while driving during the rain, observe traffic safety measures, reduce speed on highways and keep a safe distance between vehicles, the police said.
