Egypt's Mufti Shawqi Allam said Friday the victory achieved by the Egyptian army in October 1973 restored the people's dignity and paved the way for the development process.

In a televised speech, the mufti stressed that victory is achieved by those who spare no efforts in training and planning.

He hailed the Egyptian army that defends the homeland until the Day of Resurrection.
