President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has reiterated Sudan adherence to its stance concerning the Palestinian question, stressing that the Arab summit is hoped to send a strong message on the necessity of finding an end to the Palestinian people's suffering and realizing its aspiration for building their independent state with the Holy Quds as its capital.
In his address at the second sitting of the Arab summit Wednesday, President Al-Bashir has affirmed Sudan support to the legitimate government in Yemen, under the leadership of President Abdurabo Mansour Hadi.
He also affirmed Sudan's indefinite support to the Presidential Council of the Libyan national accord government, under the leadership of Fayez Al-Sarraj, asserting the importance of achieving peace and stability in Libya through an inclusive political settlement that does not exclude any party.
On the situation in Syria, President Al-Bashir has pointed to the decisions of the former Arab summits, reiterating Sudan call for the ending of the Syrian people's suffering through a peaceful solution that restores security, peace and stability to Syria and guarantees its stability.
President Al-Bashir said that Sudan is following up with great concern the events in Iraq and hopes that security and peace will prevail there and that that Iraq will succeed in combating terrorism.
He affirmed Sudan keenness to cooperate with the international community for combating terrorism which is targeting the whole world.
He condemned the terrorism acts that are targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, asserting the legitimate right of Bahrain to adopt the necessary measures for guaranteeing the safety and stability of its people.
