President of the republic, Michel Aoun, on Tuesday contacted by phone former prime minister Salim Hoss, for talks over the current crisis following the sudden resignation of Premier Saad Hariri.

During the phone call, Hoss highlighted the importance of closing ranks on the national scene and brush aside disagreements among the political components, in order to preserve the immunity of the Lebanese ranking figures and protect the nationa;s dignity and sovereignty.

"We are counting on your wisdom, Mr. President," Hoss said
