President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued a decree declaring a three-month emergency state nationwide as of Friday, October 13, 2017.

The decree was published in the gazette out Thursday.

As per the decree, the Armed Forces and the police will take all necessary measures to face the danger of terrorism, maintain security across the country and protect public and private property and the lives of citizens.
