Prime Minister Sherif Ismail said the government will start immediately to develop an integrated strategy to fulfill Egypt's water needs during the coming period.
The remarks were made during a meeting held with the ministers of planning, irrigation, agriculture and investment.
The strategy includes determining water projects with their schedules and ways of financing, Ismail said during the meeting.
Ismail directed to complete this strategy as soon as possible as it was so important to serve various developmental projects.
For his part, the minister of water resources and irrigation presented his ministry's plan to develop water resources in order to be able to address future needs.
